Great list and not just because I own most of these. /brag

Prime reason I kept my PS2. I plain get the most gaming value out of it (and my PC). The nextgen three haven't come anywhere close to unseating it in my own little world.

Cheating ruins competition and it's no different for gaming.

But the source here is ambiguous. Even Google gives me nothing but oblique references to this article only and no controller...That shouldn't be.

Has anyone actually owned a rapidfire controller with any kind of "auto headshot" feature? Evidence? A link? Otherwise, I'm pretty sceptical of their existence entirely.

Before we jump all over Microsoft:

This isn't MS screwing you over. MS provides the NXE update to all of its customers, but the particular Netflix feature simply doesn't work outside of the US. Why? Because Netflix is it's own company which has not spread beyond US borders. It is NOT a service provided by MS and so they have no say in who gets Netflix, unfortunately.

I agree.

It's good news, I think. SE shows it is quite serious about acknowledging the growth of Western gaming. Here's hoping for some great titles, JRPGS or not.

Strangely, I trust these figures even less coming from the mouths of two company employees.

From the "to 14 million Live subscribers" link:
“With that 14 million people [getting the update], it’s probably the biggest moment in the history of the internet,”

I laughed so hard at that, especially.

It's hard to take this seriously.

"... your going to be seriously disappointed that Sony really doesn't have anything up their sleeve in terms of marketing their products."

"... they are releasing one TV Spot with the same theme every few days till the 21st when they are launching a 'bigger campaign'."

Sense, it does not make. The mysterious "bigger campaign" sounds exactly like something "up their sleeve". Whethe...

Is that a detractor? It's still a great read.

Hm. Some of these are highly reminiscent of the Grand List.

It's a great read.

Good points, but could do without the swears and school yard name-calling. It doesn't offend me, but wow is that totally unprofessional.

I agree with the main point of the article, however.

Horse Armour all over again.

What's worse is that people will actually buy it. Way to encourage these lacklustre DLCs.

Back to the matter at hand, PS3 isn't doing as badly as extremist fans would suggest. The subject matter of the article lends solid proof to that fact. That's not to say the PS3 is meeting ALL expectations, no. Monthlies could be a lot better, imo. But please, credit where it's due.

Ghandi, you speak wisdom. Totally agree. Good points, all.

It's the new trend in console gaming. Meet the deadlines and if it's buggy, patch it up later.

Not as bad as I make it sound though. None of the bugs were gamebreaking so I wouldn't complain too much. They seem to mainly fix minor or graphical errors. Nothing like, say, the excellent Fallout 3 where some quests are indeed broken.

I hope Sony has something big planned for its PS3 soon. This is my number one complaint with them. Poor visibility. At least it seems that way. Great system, great library, but no one seems to realize it outside of the niche.

True. I thought MS full of bull and cooperate spin with that 2:1 comment.

Well, the figures speak for themselves right now. I'm glad to see Fallout 3 high up there. LBP should have been higher, I agree. Of all the so termed 'excuses' the only one I have ever agreed with is the marketing. LBP still has little to no hype with the casual market from where I sit in sunny California so I'm not surprised at the relatively lacklustre showing.

215k isn't bad at all, but it's not the overwhelming success I was hoping for, personally.

So goes the great experiment in ethics. Would you steal the game if there were no penalties and you couldn't get caught? A resounding affirmative.

"We’re going to experiment with no DRM for copies purchased from this site. There are many reasons for this, but we like to think people will be good, and we want to give the best user experience possible." -2D Boy

Sorry to disappoint you. :/

Anyway, I suppose we can look for DRM in 2D Boy's next rel...

Agreed with Morganfell for the motive at least.

On topic, unless Rockstar reinvents the wheel with this mystery DLC, I can't see too many players making a return run to Liberty City.

Yes, apparently my asking a question was met with some disagreement. For what, I can only imagine.

6313d ago 0 agree1 disagreeView comment

Agreed. This title is pretty irresponsible. If we knew the 'why' of it, maybe then we could start pointing some fingers. Right now, it's just a curious decision by a publisher and pretty sucky for PS3 owners in Australia.

What about the rest of the world?
